SPOT LITE followed up his Bath success when making all the running in a three-year-old five furlong handicap at Chelmsford on Monday. He is from a useful sprinting family but like his close relative Gladiatrix, has taken a while for the penny to drop but he could turn out to be a useful individual. Chelmsford has been a very happy hunting ground for the yard in 2018, with three winners and a second from just four runners. While it is a long way from Devon, it is worth it for the good prize money and it won’t be long before we are back there again.

Back on easier ground it was a decent effort from AIRSHOW to finish fourth in a £20,000 handicap at Leicester, showing plenty of bright early speed. There will be easier opportunities ahead and he is proving to be a really consistent and tough sprinter under his ideal conditions.
