It has been a fantastic start to the new season with four winners in the last two weeks taking the yard to six winners for 2017 already.

We had lots of later maturing two-year-olds last year and it appears they have done extremely well over the winter as we have made a cracking start with the three-year-olds. The star so far is SIR PLATO who benefitted from a great front running ride by Oisin Murphy at Kempton and the concern was that he might have flattered. However, he then showed improved form to run out a very convincing winner at Windsor on Monday, winning the same race that Sir Roderic landed twelve months earlier. While he may not have as much potential as him, he is given his owners plenty of fun.

Another three-year-old that made a winning return at Kempton was GLORY OF PARIS, like Sir Plato by Sir Prancealot, who ran out an extremely impressive four length winner. He has done really well over the winter but has been given a hefty 12lb rise by the handicapper which will make life more difficult but he’s a decent sort.

Our third recent winner at Kempton was GO AMBER GO who made all the running under Lulu Stanford. The race itself was very straightforward but the preliminaries were anything but as she refused to go anywhere. Huge thanks to Craig Witherford and the stalls team at Kempton that manhandled her into the gates and ensured she made a winning start to her 5yo campaign.

We have made a good start with the two-year-olds who traditionally need their debut outings. AIRSHOW fluffed the start but showed he has plenty of ability to make a mid-race move and finished a very promising third. Similar comments applied to DADDIES GIRL who was third at Windsor, she will improve plenty and give her owners plenty of fun this season.

Hopefully the winning run continues with lots of horses ready to run in the coming weeks and the hard work from the team at home can continue to be rewarded.
