Three runners on a Friday night – both Hawridge’s at Goodwood and Sir Plato making a quick return at Bath.

HAWRIDGE GLORY – 6:10 Goodwood RUK

Had a good three-year-old campaign, especially in amateur races for Pat, winning at Newbury and Salisbury but found life harder raised 8lb for the most recent of those back in professional races. Two solid runs this term should have brought him spot on for today and with Pat back on board, soft ground which he handles, he should go well providing he can overcome a wide draw in fifteen.

SIR PLATO – 7:25 Bath ATR

Five wins in 2017 took him from a mark of 57 up to 82 and has found life harder subsequently. Has taken a while to find his feet in 2018 but was only beaten 3L at Leicester on Monday. He makes a quick reappearance four days later in a weaker contest and has useful 5lb claimer Jason Watson on board this evening. If he can front-run from stall one, he should not be too far away.

HAWRIDGE FLYER – 8:15 Goodwood RUK

Joined the yard this year and made a promising first start when third at Windsor, faring best of those that chased the strong early pace. He found the steady early pace on quick ground against him when only fifth at Newmarket last time (4L behind today’s likely favourite Past Master) but softer ground and a drop in grade should see him in a much better light this evening.
