SIR RODERIC – 6:30 Kempton RUK

It was a step back in the right direction from Sir Roderic when he finished third in a competitive Class 3 twenty runner amateur handicap at York a couple of weeks ago, where he fared best of those that raced handily on ground faster than ideal. Hopefully that has boosted his confidence and he can finally take advantage of some leniency from the handicapper. The surface should not be an issue as he ran a nice race off a 7lb higher mark from a poor draw to be beaten just over three lengths at the track back in April and with top apprentice Jason Watson taking off a further 5lb, there is plenty in his favour and tonight represents a good opportunity back at Class 5 level.
