SWEET PURSUIT is a tough filly that had a good three-year-old campaign with two wins and five places, going from 51 to 66 in the handicap ratings. Has blown the start on her last two outings so hopefully she breaks smarter on this occasion to give her a chance over a trip which is sharp enough on fast ground. However, there are only seven runners (guaranteed prize money) and is a pound lower than her third at Salisbury in a more competitive fillies handicap last August.

With the recent hot weather, the ground dried out too much for SIR RODERIC at Chepstow last night, so Rod decided to pull him out rather than risk him on the undulations. It probably won’t be long before it rains so he should be out again soon.
