SIR RODERIC is proving a bit frustrating as he is undoubtedly well handicapped and continues to drop in grade, having been as high as 97 as a three-year-old but is now just 74. He has had excuses for his three runs so far in 2018, probably needed his return in the Spring Mile, bad draw and difficult to make up ground at Kempton while saw too much daylight and didn’t stay ten furlongs at Salisbury. The handicapper continues to relent and hopefully we can get that confidence back and he can work his way back up the ratings. While we would like a round track and easier ground, he is so well treated that it is kind of irrelevant if he puts his best foot forward, lets hope he does!
