The run of seconds continues as solid efforts from both HANDYTALK and RAGSTONE VIEW meant that five of our last six runners have finished second and all of them finished within a length of the winner! At least the team are in good form but it is a tad frustrating to say the least.

Handytalk once again showed his effectiveness around Epsom, three runs at the track have now yielded three seconds and he fared best of a three-way battle for the lead but found Baron Bolt too strong on the run to the line. An extremely honest and consistent individual, he remains six pounds above his last winning mark so needs everything to fall just right but he deserves to get a win, especially at Epsom. Ragstone View was a very unlucky loser when fourth at Newbury a week previously and he improved on that to finish second in a competitive event back at the track last night. He settled nicely in the early stages and certainly proved his effectiveness over a mile. Granted some luck he should be winning again soon and is going the right way. SUFFICENT did not continue our run of seconds but she ran a nice race to finish fifth of sixteen at 33/1 in the fillies novice at Newbury. She appeared to settle better in the hood on her third start and can continue to progress with racing and handicaps are now a viable option.
