SUFFICIENT – 6:15 Newbury RUK
Showcasing filly that ran better than her third at Leicester last time out suggested, as she missed the break and raced too keenly. She has the hood on this evening which should help her relax better this evening, although it looks to be a pretty competitive race she should continue to improve.
HANDYTALK – 7:00 Epsom RUK
Tough five-year-old that is too consistent for his own good, with just two wins to go with his nine places. Although he is still six pounds higher than his last win a year ago, he showed he was extremely effective around Epsom, finishing second on both his starts there. With only five runners, he should be able to adopt his prominent tactics and won’t be far away.
RAGSTONE VIEW – 8:55 Newbury RUK
Ragstone has not been the easiest to train and it has been very important to get him settled and relaxed in his races. He has progressed with each run, winning at the third attempt for the yard here at Newbury over seven furlongs before the line came too soon when fourth, beaten in a four way photo. He was undone by the lack of pace early in the race but it was good to see him relax and run to the line. The step up to a mile looks sure to suit and although there is a very hot favourite in Courtside, he has a good each way chance this evening.
