Bank Holiday Monday is certainly not a day off for those in racing and it is another busy day with six runners at three different meetings. We are having plenty of places at the moment but it would be nice if we can get back into the winners spot soon!!!

AIRSHOW – 2:55 Leicester RUK

Generally consistent gelding that ended his 2yo campaign with a win in a valuable nursery at Newbury on soft ground and returned with an emphatic success at Kempton. He may have found the ground too quick when disappointing at Bath last time and the heavy rain which fell at Leicester yesterday is most welcome. It is a strong race but he should go well off bottom weight.

GREYZEE – 3:05 Windsor ATR

Greyzee found it hard work on heavy ground on his debut here at Windsor and should fare better on this step up to six furlongs on a sounder surface and will hopefully gain some valuable experience today.

GREELEY – 3:40 Windsor ATR

Greeley showed improved form on second start at Bath, only beaten six lengths and he is crying out for six furlongs. Of the four that have run in this contest, he has arguably shown the most and it will be interesting to see how the newcomers fare in the market but he might be able to pick up some minor prize money today.

SIR PLATO – 4:40 Leicester RUK

Won five times last year during an excellent three-year-old season, proving particularly effective round Windsor where he won four times. Frustratingly there are no races over a mile available for him at the figure of eight track, so once again we tried him at ten furlongs and although he was not disgraced in fifth, it was clear he did not stay the trip. He is becoming well handicapped again, although this looks to be a competitive race, he does have a good draw in stall one for his favoured front running tactics and may run better than his big odds suggest.

SPOT LITE – 5:35 Chelmsford ATR

From a decent sprinting family and like his relatives Gladiatrix and Mattamia, who we trained for multiple sprint successes, it has taken a while for the penny to drop with Spot Lite but he won in good fashion at Bath last time. He has only gone up 3lb for that success and has landed the plum draw in stall one at Chelmsford this afternoon. It is his first run on an artificial surface but that should not be an issue and it looks a good opportunity for him to go close under Franny Norton.

GLORY OF PARIS – 5:55 Windsor ATR

Glory of Paris is having a solid consistent season, following up his Chelmsford success in February with plenty of decent efforts on the turf this year. He was very unlucky at Ascot last time, where he was hampered at a crucial stage and did well to finish fourth of seventeen. Once again he is in a competitive race this afternoon and will need luck in running but he should not be far away.
