It is good to be heading back to York with stable favourite Master Carpenter and he runs in a race that he won in convincing fashion twelve months ago. The only concern is that came on soft ground and it is a much quicker surface this time around. He has form on similar surfaces in the past but he is now a seven year old entire and isn’t quite as consistent as he once was. However, he loves York, even his fourth there in October was a decent effort and he runs off a four pound lower mark this afternoon. He has had a similar preparation to last year and showed up well in the Spring Cup at Newbury so we are hoping for a big run.
