The Good Friday meeting at Bath proved extremely frustrating for the yard. Heavy rain throughout the day meant that races on the round track were abandoned and good opportunities for Champagne Champ and Sir Roderic were lost. However, races on the straight track took place and we were hopeful that Glory of Paris would hold every chance dropped back to five furlongs on such heavy ground. Despite being outpaced in the early stages, he hit the front entering the final furlong before been headed on the run to the line. The handicapper has put him two pounds to 75 for that second but he is still four pounds lower on the turf and hopefully we can exploit that mark this season.
