Great day at Royal Ascot on Saturday, so proud of Taws she ran a blinder to be 2nd in the 2 mile 6 Queen Alexander Stakes. The winner Oriental Fox set a new course record to beat us. Taws is only 4 so hopefully she’ll be able to go back next year with a really strong chance of going one better.
We have yet to have a winner at Royal Ascot she joins the list of placed horses at the Royal meeting, Royal Seaton 2nd Hunt Cup and Lord Kintyre 3rd in the Kings Stand etc.
On the same day Master Carpenter made the long journey to Scotland, he finished 3rd in a valuable mile Handicap but for being boxed in on the rails would have gone very close, his next target will probably be the John Smith’s at York middle of next month.
