It is still relatively quiet on the runners front but we have a couple out this week in Midnight Rider and Lady Fontenial.
After his excellent 2015, where he recorded three wins for the yard, 8yo Midnight Rider was a bit ring-rusty off a strong gallop on his return at Lingfield and steps up to seven furlongs at Kempton on Wednesday evening. Unfortunately he is drawn 13 of 13, he will be dropped in and with a bit of luck in running should not be too far away, although it remains to be seen just how effective he is on the AW.
Lady Fontenail is bred for a trip and is now running off a more realistic handicap mark of 52. It was a step in the right direction when third at Lingfield last time and hopefully she can continue to progress stepping up to 1m4f at Wolverhampton on Thursday evening.
