We hope you like our newly designed website which we will be updating regularly, so do keep popping back for all our latest news.
We are on schedule to begin our season on March 28. We have half a dozen two-year-olds who are all working well and we’re hopeful we will have our usual good start to the season.
Master Carpenter, who won the Listed Heron Stakes and the Group 3 Prix Daphnis last year, is being aimed him at Sandown’s Bet365 Mile at the end of April and if he comes through that ok, he’ll go for the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May.
The ground is crucial for him and after he won Heron Stakes win at Sandown last May in such spectacular fashion Ryan Moore said that on soft ground he’s a serious horse.
Marcano will be ready early and will probably go for a handicap to take advantage of his mark and then we’ll aim him at the Heron Stakes.
He finished third on his debut at Newbury last May with the second horse, Kodi Bear, now in the betting for the Irish 2000 Guineas. Following his Salisbury maiden win in June, he was well beaten at York in August. With hindsight, the trip was too sharp and the ground too firm.
Bonnie Grey won first time out at Warwick last May and then ran in the highest grade all season in either listed or group races. Her best finish was second in the Group 3 Whiteley Clinic Prestige Stakes at Goodwood. This year we’re hopeful she’ll get more black type. She’s out of Lord Kintyre’s sister Crofters Ceilidh and we have her full brother in training, Rajadamri which means kings clearing or kings place in Thai and is actually the home of the Jockey Club in Thailand.
He’s owned by Steve Perry and will run under the Masterjed Partnership.
We were sad to say goodbye to our head lad, Jim Davies, earlier this year. He was with us for ten seasons and did a terrific job. He’s now gone to try something different. Patrick, our son, has taken over and, so far, he’s doing a very good job.
