Smart and tough two year old STEVEE probably won despite the heavy ground at Salisbury, progressing from his debut third at Bath on fast ground. He is crying out for six furlongs and showed an excellent attitude at Salisbury to tough out victory. He steps up in grade this afternoon, taking on five previous winners in a £50,000 conditions race that is a traditional trial for the Coventry at Royal Ascot. It will show us what kind of level he is and where to aim him at in the future and it is always good to have a runner at a big Saturday meeting.
