After plenty of winners throughout June and July, we have had a slightly frustrating run of places through August so far but hopefully that will change in the next couple of weeks!

Stable star of 2016 has certainly been SIR RODERIC with five wins to his name but he put up a career best to finish runner-up on ground quicker than ideal at Newmarket last Saturday. This takes his prize money to over £33,000 and his handicap mark has now hit 97 – a whole 30lb higher than when he started the season. Some nice races will be targeted in the autumn where he should get his favoured ease in the ground.

We had another second at Bath with RAJADAMRI on Wednesday evening, the horse on his best behaviour having flipped in the stalls on his previous start. Staying ten furlongs opens up further options for the three year old. On the same evening GO AMBER GO returned to form when just losing out in a three-way photo to finish third.

APACHE SONG returned from a short break to finish third at Windsor while BIOTIC ran well in the amateur race to finish third at Sandown. While MASTER CARPENTER again picked up plenty of prize money when finishing fifth in the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury, taking his earnings to over £30,000 this year.
