Another busy day, this time with four runners at Bath. With the round track still unraceable, it does mean there are just six sprints and while variety is what makes British racing the best in the world, some of the added races do create winnable opportunities that were not previously there. There are showers forecast and plenty of rain would not harm any of the runners chances.

GREELEY – 5:45 Bath

Missed the break on debut at Windsor but showed enough mid-race before getting tired in the heavy ground to show he has ability. As usual, he should improve plenty for that initial experience and it would be no surprise if he picked up some prize money this evening.

SWEET PURSUIT – 6:15 Bath

Consistent filly with two wins to her name on soft ground last season and plenty of solid placed efforts. She is 9lb higher than her last win but has hopefully improved again from three to four and should give her owners plenty of fun this year. The more rain the better for her as trip is on the sharp side.

ACHIANNA – 6:45 Bath

Nice strong filly that makes her seasonal/handicap debut this evening. She showed ability on all three runs at two and has done well over the winter. While she will come on for the run, it is a nice starting point for her season.

HANDYTALK – 7:50 Bath

A tough sort at two, he found his form again last season with an emphatic win over course and distance (now 8lb higher) as well as three narrow defeats. He goes on any ground and while he has no secrets from the handicapper, he should be in for another good season.
